I didn't know where to put this.

I've found the real hanging person in the Wizard of Oz. Many people say it's on the yellow brick road. It's not there because that's a bird's wing.

However, when they are singing the song about the Wicked Witch of the East being killed by a house, you can see a person swaying back and forth rather than side-by-side with no facial expressions.

She's located a little bit above the munchkin's tophat who is riding a horse. It's a bit to the left of the top-center. If you watch her, she sways differently than the rest of the munchkins do. She's in the farthest row, and has no facial expression.

Read the article. It claims the bird, just as I claimed. Watch the movie and try to locate the girl haning above his tophat.

I noticed these things as well, but I just want to know one thing. Why does Disney put sexual, suicidal, etc. things in their films? I mean I know they are all hidden and all, but why do they do this? I just do not understand it. They are supposed to be kids films, so why do this? Can someone please explain this to me.

The Wizard of Oz was produced by MGM. <_<

And this wasn't purposely. The Munchkin Land part was close to the last thing they filmed, perhaps even the last part. It's quite apparent that they didn't notice until later. Hell, they probably didn't even notice that it was in the movie at all. They might've thought it to have happened after that part was complete.

But remember, this film was made in 1939, the year WWII began. This fact could've been hard on the cast, and the crew may just have been eager to get the film finished. Why redo a part that was so well done, anyway? They might mess up a zillion times more if they had.

How could they not have known it was in the movie? The guy is hanging...they obviously had to act it out. Also, on the Yellow Brick Road, when they are signing, there is a guy standing on a chair (I think that is what it is) and he has a rope around his kneck and his tieing it then the chair falls and he starts to swing. It was no bird. Also, in the Lion King movie, the stars say "S-E-X". Was that a mistake also?

To keep the adult movie producers sane.

I suspect these things are the result of one of two phenomena:

1) the stupid practical jokes of people who want to be noticed through their work.

2) the expectation by the company that this will make the movies more popular due to the increasingly wide gulf between what you see on the news and what really is happening. The schools, at least in the US, think that such things are fair game for second to fifth graders already.

What's coming out of hollywood and the other US media sources is steadily degrading. There are very few movies anymore I want to see, and for the most part, I see a good commercial and say "I want to see that one."

The golden age of the movies is over. The most recent STAR WARS movie, the last James bond movie, and the last few media favorites are just examples (KING KONG, etc). The basic storylines (a few exceptions) were good, but the writers destroyed them by conforming to the standards they think will be successful - the standards they see on the evening news. Hollywood should take a hint from what's been popular: "The Chronicles of Narnia", "The Lord of the Rings", and such movies. America, and a great portion of the world, doesn't want to be increasingly shocked by their big screen productions. They want good movies of the kind you can watch again and again, getting more out of them every time.

That's why such totally inappropriate things are put in kids' movies. It's a symptom of a much larger problem.

NOTE: I really don't want to get this thread closed. If you want to disagree, keep it civil.

I've watched the Lion King a zillion times because it's my favorite Disney movie, and I remember no one saying sex, or even the letters seperately.

I also didn't notice anyone kicking a chair from under themselves on the yellow brick road. Got any shots of that?
In response to CaptFalcon33035
That is another movie on snopes. It's false as well.

King Kong owned and was far better than it's original counterpart. In what way was it 'destroyed' by the writers?
Care to to get some sort of a video or a picture?

I'm sure it was good. I was just saying that I'm sure it could've been better. King Kong is one of those movies that we hear is going to be the next record-setter. It frankly wasn't. It made profit - all movies do - but it did not do nearly as well as "Chronicles", which it was supposed to surpass. It goes to show how Hollywood is ailing and has to rely on overinflated expectations to get ratings. It may have been good - the point is, had had it been written by the writer of "Chronicles", I think it would've been better. If you like it as it is, good. That's your opinion.

Watch the movie again. The part when they first start to skip down the Yellow Brick Road while singing the song. You will see it infront of them, slightly to the right near the trees. You cannot miss it. Well, actually you can, so keep replaying it, you will eventually see it.

Very sorry for the double post. I meant slightly to the left from where you are looking. Also, nobody says "sex" in the Lion King. At one part in the movie, the stars spell out the word "S-E-X". You can find photos of it Online. Look around a bit.

Wrong. I suggest you look through this page: http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/films.asp

Go here: http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/lionking.htm. It remains undetermined but from how they explain it, I believe that they believe it is true, and the stars really do form the letters "S-E-X". If you ask me, the people who created Disney are petafiles.

Dude, did you not see the snopes.com link? That site exists as a backup for when your BS detector fails.

The link there provides a perfectly plausible explanation: If anything spelled in the stars was intentional, it was likely "SFX" or nothing at all. You seem to be reading snopes.com rather selectively, and rather than getting that these myths were actually debunked, you're taking what you read there as new evidence to believe them.

The idea that Disney has been sneaking subliminal sexual messages into its films is frankly imbecilic. Take a look at http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/ again and bear in mind that a red icon means the story is bogus.
