Windows 98 is my favorite OS. All it needs is a better interface and I'd be good to go. I think you can download a Windows XP style for it. It's a shame my dad would die if I placed Windows 98 on this computer.

Not Norton. McAfee! =D

Eh, I like both. People will say otherwise about Norton, a lot of people will, but I think it's just as good as McAfee. This statement is reversible for McAfee as well.

Here's everything every one has said, compiled into a nice little list. BTw, noone has said it's name. It's called KamiSutra. I've just finished scanning my comp, and I don't have it.

Apparently, it started out through porn e-mails, and has spread throughout the world. It will wipe ALL of the following files at midnight tonight:

DMP - Oracle files
DOC - Word document
MDB - Microsoft Access
MDE - Microsoft Access/Office
PDF - Adobe Acrobat
PPS - PowerPoint slideshow
PPT - PowerPoint
PSD - Photoshop
RAR - Compressed archive
XLS - Excel spreadsheet
ZIP - Compressed file nature

After deleting these files, it will do this on the 3rd day of every month. Even if you haven't opened any compromising e-mails, I would scan your computer. There are a few websites that will do a free virus scan for you, and remove viruses it finds.

Pfft, needs IE. If they won't make it work in Firefox, they can forget it.

"Another factor that potentially makes this virus noteworthy is it's self defense mechanism. It closes windows if the

SCAN, KASPERSKY, VIRUS, MCAFEE, TREND MICRO, NORTON, REMOVAL,

Meh, anyone die yet? No? Told you. -_- 48 minutes into it.
In response to XzDoG
Haven't had time to do a virus scan yet, I hate doing them, they lag the hell outta my computer =(
It takes about 48 minutes for me to scan, let alone handle any virus' found (and by handle, I mean send to AVG's built in "Virus Vault" ^_^)
At the moment I'm running a scan and a disc cleanup. The text is very much lagging behind what I'm typing XD

I have...dmp (dm maps)...doc...mde...and zip...not many of each either. I'll only be concerned about my DM maps. Even then, everything's replaceable =P
I'll probably be safe though, I don't get porn emails =P (not that i open anyway XD)

The problem with this worm is the doc (MS word files and so on) files. Think of the thousands of children, workers, teachers and so on who have lost coursework, essays, account logs...
In response to Elation
I meant on my own computer, I know this is devestating for those people =o
All they can do now is hope they have backups and decent virus protection =(

I doubt deleting it would set off the virus. How could it?
All the sites- Microsoft, the BBC's site, and so on are telling people to delete them on sight, too.
In response to Vito Stolidus
I hit to send it to the spam thing, so no, I don't delete it. I let hotmail deal with it ^_^; anyway, scan finished, i'm fine.
In response to JMT
Haha. then it infects hotmail and -No one- will be safe! your a genius, JMT! =D
Just kidding. :P
If I see it I'll Delete it on site.
In response to JMT
Yeah but then people can have an excuse for not turning in work!
The "Black Worm" ate it! =P
