I like it.
Though I didn't really mind Courier New, I think this'll do fine for my script editors.

Not sure if it's a bug or what, but the TT file does list many sizes in DM, including 12, 14, 16, etc... Oddly enough, though, the font only displays little boxes, not the proper characters. I think the TT file is broken. :/ Yeah, the TrueType file is messed up; it does that in every other editor I've tried too, not just DM. And I did try both the TTF and FON files; neither worked. On a related note, DM has some difficulty displaying certain TrueType and OpenType fonts, such as Tahoma and Batang for example. I don't have Batang on this computer, but Tahoma doesn't work because it's not a fixed-width font. Dream Maker only works properly with fixed-width fonts; in fact you used not to be able to select variable-width fonts at all. One of the updates removed that restriction, but the rendering code still messes up. |

I'm a huge fan of fixedsys. Its weight makes it very readable. Aye, the weight of Triskweline was a bit of an issue. I'd much prefer a nice chunky fixed-width font. [edit] After snooping around dafont.com, I found that Bitstream Vera Sans Mono is quite nice. I was using Lucida Console before that, but in ClearType on WinXP I sometimes had trouble telling a V from a v. This is just enough beefier that it stands out and is more readable. Lummox JR |

I'm using NSimSun 10pt, and I really think it looks good.

ClearType on WinXP Sorry to drag this off-topic, but is it bad that ClearType gives me a headache after looking at it for half an hour? (I am using an LCD monitor.) |

Yeah, I have rarely found cases where ClearType was a better choice. Which is bad because it was actualy a "selling" point of XP. I have an LCD at home, and at work we have a lot of LCDs, in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I find that ClearType makes things harder to read in 99% of the cases.

Yeah, me too. And the new text display IE7 uses makes me head hurt too, fortunatly it's not hard to change it (it even made the browser in DS hurt me head, bastards). I rarely find a font outside of the defaults that look good to me, just get used to the defaults I suppose.

Well where did you find the font? All I could find on Google were references to its use as a Chinese font.

On a related note, DM has some difficulty displaying certain TrueType and OpenType fonts, such as Tahoma and Batang for example. If they fix their TT file, and you fix how DM handles these TT and OT fonts, it may work after all.
