Who's rationalizing stealing? We're not talking about stealing. We're talking about copyright infringement.

The difference would be?
I can't remember what I ate last week, let alone how many things I've pirated. I put in an estimate, and I'd say I'd come somewhere between 5-10k. No idea how close that is to the truth.

Theft is when you take something some one has.

well ok whatever makes you guys sleep better at night.I hope you all become great programmers and spends thousands of hours creating software, games, ect, only to get it ripped off.

If I had the money, I would by the software and stuff.

I know this isnt right, but the way I see it is: If I dont buy it they loose stuff, if I pirate it they gain a happy "customer" who can then pass on reviews and stuff to people who can afford to purchase it. But either way, at the moment they cant get money from me.

I would like to buy it, but simply cant afford $200 for the sort of software I use.

In the case Dowling Vs. United States in the US Supreme Court it was ruled that Copyright infringement IS NOT theft.

US Supreme Court o well since they say its not theft then ok it must not be, but of course they think killing unborn children is ok to, also we know that they have such great morals

Its not like the unborn baby knows its being killed, also i had a wee bit more than Hell Ramen.

So I assume you don't eat eggs and cry when skin flakes off your arm? Eggs are unborn (chicken) children. Skin cells have more in common with first-trimester babies then humans.

Anyway, piracy prevents global warming
In response to Hell Ramen
lol I got $23216.19

Many of you who actually used this thing will have come up with totals in four digits or higher. But do you actually HAVE that much money? Have you ever? And if you did have the money, would you have bought all that stuff legitimately? Even if it was a simple download? I doubt it.

The point I'm making is that only a small percentage of illegal downloads are in fact lost sales. Piracy isn't theft. It's piracy. There's a big difference.

I agree 100%, lets all steal more.

Killing unborn children is ok.

Abortion has nothing to do with online piracy. That's irrelevant.

no it doesnt, i simply pointing out that the supreme court has no morals, so why would i have to agree with the fact that they say copy infringment is not theft.

Of course good sir, because we all now that piracy isnt a ethical issue.I mean its not like stealing the software off the shelf right? Its not like i would buy the software anyways, i cant afford it right? You know if i had the money i would buy it right? These are all some what valid points, but its really just all rationalisation for your ethically wrong actions.

As your the God-boy comment i wont even waste my time with a rebuttal, cause it was a lame cheap shot, thats all.
