Wow. Did anyone else watch that episode of Battlestar Galactica? So many things happened, and so much changed.

Did you catch that ironic twist near the end? The nuke sabatoge before they settled actually alerted the Cylons one year later (since they were one lightyear away). Totally unexpected. However, I'm assuming 6 and 8 don't bring entirely bad news, as they were turning good after all (well, one turning good and one already good that wouldn't accept her origin).

Didn't the commercials say it would be two hours? Wasn't that only an hour and a half?
I'm pretty sure that they usually give 15 minutes to a half an hour for Credits.

I've never even heard of Galactica Finale, but it sounds cool already. Perhaps I should look into it.

He means BattleStar Galactica, the finale was yesterday.
this certainly doesn't sound like the series i watched in the 80's.

i mean, '6' and '8' - what'd they do? mix it up with some reject DragonBall Z Androids?

:p

I'm talking about the new version. Battlestar Galactica is being redone; the Sci-Fi channel is making the new version.

In this, there are human form Cylons (I only watched a handful of episodes of the old series, but I don't recall them in it, so I think that's new to this) which look like humans. The human form Cylons control the normal mechanical brutes, and they also infiltrate the humans since they look like us. There are many copies of each Cylon person, each different type of them being numbered.

The two most famous human form Cylons are a 6 and an 8 who played the biggest roles in defeating the humans in their initial attack. However, one of them didn't even realise she was a Cylon programmed for sabatoge, and she is in denial about her true origin. The other knew she was a Cylon, but she had to get close to a human in order to carry out her plans, and she fell in love with him, and now she hallucinates and sees him: the hallucination of him guides her to be sympathetic toward the humans. On the interesting other hand, Gaius (the one she was with) now also sees hallucinations of her which coax him to do things that would help the Cylons.

Anyway, the season finale was last night when I posted that, and it had just gotten over.

Actually, the one you are talking of new she was a Cylon, it was 6(The asian one) that didn't know.

Season Finale that is.
I just watched it. Gaius is just... stupid. I mean, first he destroys the original colonies, and then decides to run for president? Where's the logic in that?

I'm waiting for someone to catch on (Roslin did) and shoot the bloody idiot.

I liked him before. In fact, just last night I said to someone that the only three people with their heads on right were Admiral and Commander Adama and Gaius Baltar. But then last night Gaius was a bit annoying, though Roslin was too, rigging the election and all.

He didn't destroy them. In fact, he didn't even know that he was consorting with a Cylon. He was quite upset when he found it all out. Also, I think that he would make a better president than Roslin. Roslin has done a lot of stupid things.

I said the same thing about Roslin many times.

The problem isn't really with any one person; it's with them all. Nobody on the show is either black or white. Everyone is a hazy shade of gray.

That's why I didn't use the names in that paragraph, I just said "one" and "the other". I wasn't sure which was which, and I'll probably forget again as soon as this topic falls off the bottom of the page.

I'm not saying he did it on purpose, but you would think that a man that smart wouldn't listen to the same blonde cylon that tricked him into dooming Caprica when she says "Run for president." If he really felt bad about it, he wouldn't have run for another position of power.

You would think having a cylon in your head (Do you think it's a chip? Or hallucination?) would be a security risk.

I used to wonder the same, but then they had that episode where they showed it from her perspective. After she was resurected she also had hallucinations of him persuading her to see humanity's point of view. Therefor, it can't be a chip implanted by the Cylons. That was indeed a very interesting twist when they showed that.
