I don't see where he claims to have done the drawing of Samus, he merely claims its his 'gfx creation', which could be anything from an original to a rendering.
I think you're just getting off on calling people thieves today. =P |

Not just today, every day! People who make "sigs" are not artists, at the most, they are editors, and not very good ones at that. They are stealing art from real artists and calling it thier own work. They know very little, if nothing, about creating real art, and use other people's work to gain admiration and respect. Too bad no one who appreciates good art will ever give them a second glance.

Although I can't agree with you on the blatant grouping of every single person who makes signatures and their artistic talent, I am inclined to agree with the fact that people shouldn't use others' artwork, and expect praise for it. If they truly want to impress, they should just make it themselves.

When the only artistic influence the sig thief adds is smudged lines and jumbles of color, I find it hard to see talent. They are no more talented than a monkey thowing paint at a canvas. Actually, less so. At least the monkey is creating original artwork.

Well see, now you're referring to those who steal art for signatures, I'm talking about people who make signatures as a whole, as you referenced earlier. Not everyone who makes signatures steals the art. Most of them, but not all.
Blatant generalization isn't a good idea, and you should know that. |

I have yet to see one who doesn't steal. Until I do, I will stick to my statements, thank you very much. This is getting close to flamage, perhaps we should take it to a blog, or something.

Well, I don't plan on taking it to the degree of flaming, I'm always keen for a good debate, however this really is going nowhere. You're entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else. I'm just going to leave it as it is, seeing as we're both steadfast in our beliefs.

who cares? do you really expect him to draw a picture of samus that well? he is just showing his skill in photoshop. You need to chill out on calling people thieves.

Whenever I make signatures, I make it out of work that I produce. Like my current forum avatar and member's page background, I didn't steal any material to produce those pieces of art.
Most people who create signatures DO steal art or pictures to produce the sig's in the first place, so I don't disagree with that part. However, not all signatures include stolen images. |

Wait, what? Naw, it was just a joke. Not serious at all.
I'd need actual skill in Photoshop to do anything seriously. :( |
