Whenever I was on AC:DS, I went on the gamefaqs boards looking for people with high turnip prices. That, or selling sets of furniture. I made alot of money off both.

Again, for the gamecube version; did you guys ever do "island runs"? Linking your GC and your GBA, then going to the island several times- each time dumping masses of fruit from your town to that island (make sure that you keep the island running on the GBA). Then, using the GBA mini-island, keep feeding fruit to the character that lives there. I found that after about 5 fruit, the character starts to spill out money. Feed every single fruit (the whole island should've been filled up) to the animal, then take the gold that is spewn out and put it on the island away from the creature.
Make sure the creature does not touch the gold.
The gold bags will vary between 100, 1000, 10,000 and 30,000. Once you are done, take the trip back over and gather all the gold!
Normally one island run (that will take about half an hour in real time) would net me about 200,000 to 300,000 gold- possibly 400,000.

I don't have the GC version. :/ Just AC:WW.
