If I remember correctly, ByonDIME withdrawal has a 10% transaction fee (minimum $5), so you will probably get $2.90.

I thought they removed the cashout fee to help push dimes out. I guess not though.

Dude $8.00 is $8.00

You could buy a meal with that, a 24 pack of soda, a ticket to the movies. $8.00 is a lot of money.
