In some byond forums ppl are talking like "kan i b gee eem plz"or smthin like that...WTF is that?!I think that retards and lil kids are posting like that...cuz it isnt funny its just pathetic!what they expect that ppl will react like that "You are so cool cuz u r talking funney" ?! I'm very disappointed of byond forums...Hentai games-no cuz new ppl will think its BAD and u allow such a stupid posts?!Well i think thats making byond BAD...

I also find it pathefic, in the beginning it was a bit funny: It didn't happen too much, and was something new. But now it isn't funny anymore, and people are overdoing it.
I admit, I do it sometimes too -- but I never overdo it. I think forum-moderators should start punishing the ones who do it just to sound funny, which hardly ever succeeds. O-matic | |

You're close to doing the same thing. Maybe not purposely because you may think it's funny (though I myself do personally, I'm only 10.), but in any case, it's a bad idea to do that on the forums. Especially when those asking for help are doing it, just because you sometimes can't understand them.

It was just a spelling example in the orignal post, but trying to weasel one's way into power is usually worse than some fictional sex.
As for the connection, it's a question of what moderators focus on. As much as I dislike 1337, I don't see the point in regularly wasting moderator time on it. If nobody understands, then nobody answers. More importantly, the post would not be associated with the BYOND staff like porn in game channels would. | |
Just learn to ignore it; it's much healthier and nobody starts any flame wars. =) I used to get all grammar-nazi on people who typed like that, but now I'm too desensitised to care.
Moderating it would be a huge waste of time. And I do mean huge. I wouldn't bother most of the time even if I was told to. What would be the point? Their next post will be exactly the same. I'm not going to manually fix every single spelling and grammar error that everyone on this forum makes. It'd be a full-time job. Besides, parodies of l33t speak can be amusing if used well and sparingly. | |
