Why can't I buy a membership with SplashPlastic 360? My payment method keeps defaulting to PayPal.
because SplashPlastic is likely not an international standard that is supported (this sounds more like a local standard, than an international one).
Because Dantom doesn't accept payments in SplashPlastic. =) It's a UK thing from the look of it, and Dantom is based in the USA.

It's an International Standard go to www.360money.com and you'll see but that's besides the point, the payment option automatically defaults to PayPal!?

if you are referring to the screen where you buy a BYOND membership, your *only* choices are paypal, credit-card, U.S. Check, or U.S. Money order. anything else is not accepted. BYOND does not accept pre-paid cash cards.

some things to note from the 360 site you mentioned: 'This money can then be spent at millions of retailers on the high street (that's in London for those not in the UK - digi), the internet or over the telephone, wherever the Maestro or Solo logos are displayed. Some 360money cards even allow cash to be withdrawn from cash machines (ATM)...PrePay Technologies has been operating prepaid card services in the UK since 2000...'

so it is very UK-oriented. also, BYOND would have to install/add code to handle these types of cash cards, as well as dozens of other valid systems across the US and Europe. much simpiler at this time to deal with a known and well developed standard such as Paypal, or a credit card.

sorry, dude, a bit out of luck in using your splashcard at this time. but do try with another method!

Just to clarify the term high-street isn't exclusive to London, moreover it's a generic term that refers to the main 'business orientated street' (more often than not near the town centre) in a town or city. Somewhat off-topic but I just wanted to clear that up.

I guess I'll have to use PayPal. Just have to wait for my Bank Acount to be added.
