I'm looking for two good, somewhat low cost, graphic cards. I need one for my family's desktop computer, and I'm hoping to upgrade the one on my computer. Any advice is appreciated :)

Specs for my computer and current graphics card:
RADEON X600 PRO (0x5B62), Total Memory of 256 MB
Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP2
Pentium 4, 3.40GHz, 512 MB of RAM

Specs for our family computer and current graphics card:
GeForce4 MX 420, Total Memory of 64 MB
Windows XP Home Edition, SP2
Pentium 4, 2.66GHz, 256 MB of RAM

I'm looking for prices below $250 for my computer.
We just want to be able to run Fable and some other new games that might come out on the family computer.

If you need any more info, I'll be glad to post it.

Thanks in advance :)
Don't bother with Media Center Edition if you already have access to Home :)

But I already have it :'(
Besides, if I ever get off my lazy bum, I hear you can watch TV on them ;)
Slots would be nice.

How do I find those?

The fastest way would be to post the make and model of the computers. Otherwise open em up and take a look :P.

The E510 has an PCI-Express X16.
The 8250 has an AGP port.

you can look it up at the dell web site.

Thats not true jimmy! You can't watch tv on them, you can watch tv on ANYTHING you just need the right equipment, and a fair ammount of time. My old mac 8, could watch TV. you need a computer with a TV In slot, not TV out.

Yeah my Mom's video card came with a TV-in thingie so she can watch TV; and it also came with a remote that you can use to control the mouse when she's playing games--err I mean when that she can use to control the mouse when she's watching movies and stuff
