It's time to drop out of school, quit your job, divorce your spouse, disown your children, cancel your gym membership, upgrade your PC, and clear out your schedule for World of Starcraft.

dam you yahoo why leave it up after april fools sigh -.-

Dang it all, why do they have to do that? Well, Blizzard will probably get to it eventually anyway. I know I'd pay $100 or more for World of Starcraft. That might seem like a lot, but think about it - we pay more than that for a game system and a few games which we probably wouldn't get as much use or as much fun out of. I'd pay $200+ if there weren't monthly fees.

You go pay 100+ in the first year for any MMORPG. Just in monthly fees mind you.

As I implied, that 100+ statement was not counting the monthly fees. However, I thought most games had $5/month fees, meaning $60 in a year, which is not quite $100.
As I said in the last sentece, I would up that to 200 if it were void of monthly fees. |

WoW, I believe, costs about 13 or 14 dollars a month, or about 12 if you pay for a year. That's at least $144 a year. |

I'm not convinced Blizzard will get around to it anytime soon. I wouldn't imagine that many people subscribing to/playing both World of Warcraft and World of Starcraft. It wouldn't make that much difference in profit since the money from both goes to the same place, but the World of Warcraft realms would all end up ghost towns.
Maybe once World of Warcraft has run down, but even then they don't seem that interested in Starcraft. When Warcraft III was released I was sure a new Starcraft game with the Warcraft III engine was just around the corner. Yet here we are and there's still nothing on that front. |

Yep. They cancelled StarCraft: Ghost too.

This is definately another game I'll be keeping my eye on, though :)
