Interesting. Initially I thought they would be likely to go under, but this PCWorld article explains their business model a bit more.

The sign up scrip is totally screwed even though i input the security text/numbers in properley (both upper and lower case) it give me an error

Because you would upgrade temporarily and redownload all your back-up info and than just go back to normal. It's made to back-up info for your PC, not a file server. I suggest checking out that article Crispy linked to.
