I had two cats I used to scream at all the time. Not for no reason, but when they would go where they didn't belong, or like.. sat on the couch. (they weren't allowed on the couch)
I also did those things I mentioned, the sock, ect. Don't give me that torture crap. Those cats would come back to me 5 seconds after I pulled the sock off their head and hop up on my lap puring.

That's because cats have no recognition of time. It is the same reason why they will do something and get in trouble, then do it again three minutes later - they are just testing their luck like any kid would do. It does not mean they enjoy having socks on their heads or tape on their paws.

Well either do you so how do you know its torture although i think its mean yelling at a cat like that doesn't mean the cat is getting hurt. Though its feelings might have been killed still see no physical damage but there might be some mental damage there.
