I've run into the problem after receiving a new laptop that the chat bar seems to be in about size 6 font across the whole interface.
I propose possibly an option to adjust font size or at least have a reasonable size of text to screen ratio to start of with.
I have a 13 inch display on my laptop, just encase that makes any sort of difference.
Hoping you're well

I've heard of a bug in Windows that caused text sizes to be way wrong, but I don't remember which thread talked about it; this happened after one of their patches was broken. This is almost more of a help issue than a feature request, because all you should need to do is apply a patch or adjust a system setting. Without knowing more about your system it's hard to say more.

For Windows Vista/Server 2003 the update was KB3013455 which caused font issues. KB3037639 should fix the issue, if this is the exact problem. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3037639

On my computer at least you can change the font size of the chat by holding down control and using mousewheel up/down (which zooms in on the chat bar) while having your mouse over the chat window.
