Your laptop is dual core, it'd take a pretty kickass single-core AMD to keep up with it, and a 2800+ doesn't cut the cheese. =P

It's playing Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source faster than my desktop does, with better graphics 0.0

Nope, but I bought myself a Core Duo laptop last week. 2.0 GHz, 2 GB memory. Your video card is better, but I don't do 3-d games. Details will probably come this week in a blog post near you...
