Firefox retarded?

Non of my search plugins, media plugins, or bookmarks are there. Yet, they exist in my folders? They used to work but now they up and left. I've installed them(the search plugins), numerous times, and find it funny the default google engine isn't there. Did this happen to anyone, and if it did, and you fixed it, how?

Yes I've tried reinstalling, and running virus/spyware scanners.

There is a chance your profile got fluxed. run firefox with the /p switch to bring up the profiler and see if there is more than one. I don't see the trouble. I have had the same profile sence beta .8 or something close to that. I have, however, noticed some missing elements from some sites that a new profile fixes, I haven't tracked down the problem yet.

Gotta love simple solutions. One of the great things about FireFox is that it's strong profile base allows for great changes between profiles while still keeping the core FireFox in tact and untouched(In Linux, the low level user has no write access to the FireFox main files.)
