Apparently, Professor X is not dead?
Anyone know how and why

[Alathon: I edited topic and put Warning: Spoiler in it. I hope you don't mind]
You should really put a spoiler warning in!

He isnt? Thats news to me.
In the beginning of the movie, he is speaking to a group of students. When he haves a student turn on the television, it shows an old man in a hospital, which had a perfect body but no mind. He speaks a bit about it, if it would be wrong or not to transfer someone's elses mind to the body if their body was not in health.

If you wait until the very end of the credits, it shows the old man again in the hospital lying in the bed, and he speaks to the nurse with a voice that sounds likes the professor's.

See, I missed that part. Dammit!

Dang, I shouldve stayed until after the credits. But, unfortunately theres not going to be a fourth movie...just a Wolverine spinoff.
I'm just waiting for an "Age of Apocalypse" movie. We must have Gambit, Mr. Sinister, and all those cool dudes.

How do you know there is not going to be a fourth ?

This is my theory about the "cure"

Theory of the "cure"
The cure does not work on higher level mutants because leech's body and power is not strong enough because he is at a young stage. Therefore it never affected magneto greatly. Also remember four cure shots where needed to bring down magneto...does wolverine know something we dont?

This is another guys theory.
I agree with the fact that x-men would cease to exist if Xavier was dead...

In that moment, when magneto is slowly moving his hand towards the king, & before the chess piece began to vibrate, I wondered who is known to always play chess with him? Also a possible check mate? why it's Xavier of course!!! Well maybe not, but it feels good to think so, & I could be right!!!

There must be a fourth movie!
Is X-Men: Last Stand not meant to be about the original X-men at all? I was an avid fan of the original X-men cartoon years ago, and I was kind of annoyed about all the differences between the movie and the cartoon.. What do you guys think? Does anyone else give a damn? =D

Yes, they also refer to the patient as "Charles".

Doo doo doo doo!

There's talk of a Magneto spinoff as well.

The fact that the original title was "X-Men: Last Stand Ending" wasn't a warning enough? :P

Prof. X is soooooo nasty that he was able to transfer his mind into the body of the cancer patient. This maybe explains why he hardly even put up a fight against Pheonix. Prof. X is not dead and I have reason to believe that no one actually died in X3.

The "cure" is also not a permanent cure. This is explained by the first ending (before the credits) when Magneto moves the chess piece slightly. The cure is temporary.

Jean grey died once before and in the comic books actually died many times so I doubt she is dead from a simple stab to the chest. She has the power to destroy people with a simple thought yet she couldn't kill wolferine or couldn't survive a stab wound? Not likely.

They never actually showed Scott dieing in the movie. It was assumed by wolferine.

X3 seemed like a good movie to me but after seeing it and doing research on the comics, I've realized that is was missing A LOT of stuff to it. Juggernaught is Prof. X's half brother. Spike is storm's nephew. Juggernaught is NOT a mutant. Pheonix was never created by Prof. X like it says in the movie. Jean Grey and Scott are supposed to have a kid named Cable, yet they both died. Angel was an original X-men yet he's in the movie all of 15 minutes? A lot of the bad guys in X3 are good guys in the comic.

I like the movie to be like the comic book, give or take a few things to make the movie better/interesting. But X3 was missing a lot of stuff and most people that know about the Xmen series hate this movie.

Jean said she killed Scott. She said it to Wolverine.

No, it wasn't.

All spoilers should be CLEARLY marked as such.

She might of also recognized him since she was his ex-fiance.

That might be different though since they seem to of changed a lot of things going from the comic to the movie.

Wolferine looked at her, she didn't say anything.

I thought she says soemthing like, "Kill me before I kill another." Maybe I'm wrong.
