The game froze at the beginning of the end sequence just after Zidane gets ready to jump after everyone gets on the Airship =(
I'm still using ePSXe, and I haven't had any problems except the lagginess until this point, except a crash or two that didn't occur a second time, but this crash happens every time. I've tried messing with video settings, going to "Change Disc" and reload it (because in FF9 you could skip FMVs that way I believe; I had to do that on my PSX to get past a crash in the last 2-3 seconds of the FMV that the ISO is crashing on)
Would it be the ISO or something? I might have to just see if my PSX discs can make it through the end :( They're too scratchy to start a new game (that's why I had to play the ISO and suffer icky lagginess), but I know that last time I played it I could see the end sequence after opening/closing it to cut off the end of this FMV, but that's been a while so I may or may not get it to work :(

well now when the FMV begins it's just Zidane (because he's not part of the FMV he's just a sprite) on a black background and it moves slowwwwwwly :(
would this work on a better computer? I was able to vanquish the final boss on my PSX discs and see the end of the game, but my brother started playing it on Mom's comp (which is much better than my laptop, which has like the minimum requirements for ePSXe), so when he gets there would the thing you suggested probably work on it? I'd test it, but I don't wanna copy over my save state, run allllll the way around the house to her computer, screw something up, run back in here, run back to her computer, get it working, delete what I copied, and run back here. I already did that when I got home to see if it'd fix my original problem :( |

Hmmm... I don't know, then. I've only played a little of FF9, and using the nomdec switch let me get through that bit - it's a little buggy to emulate, methinks.

Oh well. At least I still had my PSX file and the disc let me see the end.

"ePSXe.exe -nomdec"
to run ePSXe.
