No clue where this kind-of topic goes. And I hope this post makes sense as my eye-sight is blurry, from lack of sleep and high intake of caffine!

I am on a "Coding Binge" I've been coding for the past 3 hours. and I still feel the burning need to keep going and coding. I've heard a few people speak of this, but is...a normal thing? :P I have a life and everytting, but I think my inner nerd calls out and needs to be fed. :D

[Edit] YEEHAAA, 2 AM
Once, I woke up at about.. 8 in the morning, and coded untill like 4 the next morning. A total of 20 hours!

I's really a great way to get ahead in your game.
It happens to all people creating something at some point -- they'll think of something and away they go.

Yeah, I've gone on binges such as these for days! Thankfully, such things as pizza delivery and microwaves exist; I'd just grab the food, grab a Mountain Dew, and head back to my computer desk! It's a great way to get work done. :)

I've with me, a 6 pack of Strawberry flavoured water, Pizza Pockets, my journal, from where I write all my ideas. And and everlasting frevor in my hands o.o
Yeah. Like with all creative pursuits, sometimes you just get into the "the zone" and want to keep going and going. One tends to get a lot more done in this state as well.

This page describes it well -> http://ruk.ca/article/2228

Heh, and like with all creative pursuits, sometimes you just get into a rut and can't get anything done. I usually tend to find these right after my binges. =/

Yeah, getting burnt out is a real danger. Sometimes you just need to take an extended break.
My coding binges are usually 6 hours before the deadline of a contest ¬_¬ You should've seen me working on Airsoft before the 8k contest deadline. Unfortunately, I just started too late and it didn't get quite finished :\

For this Iccusion contest though, I've been working my butt off for almost 3 solid months.
Years back, when I had a lot more time on my hands during summer vacation from school, I would start doing something and do it almost constantly for weeks straight, and sometimes it was for programming.

I would start shortly after I woke up, stop once or twice long enough to pack a sandwich into me before rushing back, and continue into the night. This would continue for quite some time and was very bad for my health.

If only I had a fun job which I could do this for and get 50 hours of overtime every week.

I hear you. If I could do this for my job. I'd...be making so much money! Haha.
Well. I've been up all night. And Finally got all the types of NPCs done ( with the execption of enemies) It took sometime for the Quest NPCs with the blumblecluster I have. Got all Interactables done and have done wonders with that Image() I had trouble with earlier last night. I even got some of the Storyline started. :D
