3.5 beta help

can someone help me.when i log in on byond 3.5beta or 348.905 it says logged in as ninokilo[offline] at the bottom. it also says this :Status: offline .. no news at this time! plz can someone help me i would really apperciate it.

Something could be blocking the port it uses to connect to the hub...

Do you have a firewall set up?

Step 1 ---> Close all BYOND Programs
Step 2 ---> Open BYOND.exe
Step 3 ---> Press Ctrl+P
Step 4 ---> Go to General tab
Step 5 ---> Where is says Pager Type, change to Public
Step 6 ---> Press OK
Step 7 ---> Login
Step 8 ---> Reply back

yes i have a firewall but i set it to let byond through.

i use a compaq presario computer do u think that has anything to do with it?

No that can't be it I had a compaq presario and it worked fine. Have you tried logging in as a different person.

Log out, go to the key options or preferences or whatever it's called. Create or Retrieve New key, proceed just like you would if you had just installed BYOND for the first time. I had a very similar problem to yours, and doing this fixed it for me, might give it a try.
