Anybody have a good Shell Server site? Looking to use one to host some BYOND games. Just wondered please I need help!!!

Assuming you're willing to pay, check out http://digitalbyond.net.tc/ - it's not free, but it's very cheap. And you're not likely to find a free one.

Sounds good, But do you have any experience with them? Do they allow CPU intensive games such as in byond on the servers?

They're shared servers. If you eat up CPU then they'll get annoyed at you, so I wouldn't recommend it. DreamHost is a web host, not a game host (unless you shell out for a dedicated server, then they don't care how hard you thrash it :-) ).

i use digital byond ..... it really is cheap .. and your first month is free !!!!! it is confusing at first, but after u do it like 3 times, u memorize it ....... digitaly byond is now how i host everyting..... if u decide to get digitalbyond, plz tell them that i helped introduce u to it, that way i get 1 free month :P ...... also if u do get it, and have any problams, just e-mail me at devinhurd@comcast.net

That’s what I was figuring; I wanted to see why Kujila was recommending it.

Dreamhost actually goes through and kills things like games being host and whatnot on their shared servers. You'd have to buy a dedicated server to get away with it, or one specfically setup for game hosting.

The BYOND servers themselves are through Dreamhost.

Not exactly a shell per-se, but we'll be supporting BYOND game hosting which will be done through a web-based interface. The service will most likely be available only for BYOND Members.

Burstnet looks good actually...

Keep in mind on Canaca that their website's front page has no page title... also its worth mentioning to get the price $12.95 you have to pay for two years upfront.
