Pointer: SATs don't mean crap. It's all about letter grades in classes and extra curriculars.

Can we use TI-83's in there? (I got it too, SAT Reasoning)
And BTW, when is this undefined? f(m) = (m/m^2) - 6m +8 My study program from Kaplan says 2 and 4. But I am dead sure it is 0. It says you can put it into (m-4)(m-2)=0 but I think otherwise. |

You can factorise into (m-4)(m-2) if f(m) = m^2 -6m + 8, but f(m) is 1/m - 6m + 8 which seems to be undefined at f(0) to me.

Meh, I don't have SAT but PSAT next week and ACT on da 28th. Anyways, as for "pointers", check out their site : www.collegeboard.com/psatextra
But I'm sure you already prepped in some kind of way already. |
One test holds your future? Unless you plan on going straight into some prestigious university, nothing you do in high school from your GPA to the SAT really matters. You're good to go once you have that diploma.

That's what I was thinking. There's been quite a few 'explanations' on that study program that seem a little off.

Good luck, and yes! Bring your TI83, it will be your best friend, I have already taken it before, and without it, you might as well just leave before the test starts as you wont have the time to do all the math in your head.
|
Yeah, I took them last year without it (but I had one at home) and I did pretty well with just a simple calculator. I thought we weren't allowed to; just seemed too good to be true. I'm just 50 points short in Math + Critical Reading for the honors program I hope to join in college. And 10 short for a scholarship at the same college. And it figures, I got an almost perfect score on the Writing section but no one's looking at it!
