자도요!
(Me too) By the way, the XBox is pretty cool. I have a lot of good games for it, like Morrowind, and crazy thinkgs like that. It's SO much more functional for GTA games, too, custom soundracks... |
요 It's like a little eyeball dude just standing there!
I don't much care for the XBox. One of the biggest problems I have is the control. I have never felt so uncomfortable holding a control to a console. It makes me yearn for the days of old when the NES controller had sharp enough edges to make you bleed if you got a little too excited. I also don't care much for the company that makes it. Although the price point is good, I don't think they where future minded enough to make it last the 5+ years it will need to before the next generation of consoles. I own an XBox(Not 360) and am generally unsatisfied with it. I have yet to see(besides a few game titles) as to why anyone would want it over the ps2. I will admit, they do have that XBox live thing going for them, but I really don't think it's fair to charge people to play games online. Sure, charge them to download extra content off their servers, but not just to play a game with a friend. With the 360, I feel no more comfortable holding the controls nor do I really like the menu interface. As for functionality in the GTA games: The only thing that I can think of that the XBox has on the PS2 when it comes to GTA is custom soundtracks. Outside of that, the PS2 did a great job of running GTA. I have had GTA:VC and GTA:SA for PC and both looked about the same as the PS2 version, despite me having a lot more power, so I can't see the XBox making that big of a difference either. That is not to downplay your choice in the console market, nor is it to start a flamewar. But when you start talking about the GTA games, you get me interested. Man do I lub me some GTA. I have owned every version of GTA ever released in the US, including GTA:London. |
HA! Where did you hear these rumors? You must have been walking down an alley full of crack heads. This is not a major update. They are updating a few things, but it is not a major update. Microsoft is to make a "fall update" which is of a pretty good size but this is not. With the fall update, there will be a dashboard update and that is not included on the 18th, or rather the 17th which is today. You can try to access xbox.com right now and it'll tell you its all being updated. I'm sure there will be some new goodies, but you will not recieve all of those. Xbox Live Gold for free also is the most bogus claim ever. I dont know what 5 year old told you that. Anyways, I'm waiting for my ISP to open a port to my console so I can connect so I will have Gold, and I am anything but poor, trust me ;)

Rumors: MSN Xbox Live Messenger isn't to farfetched, and I suppose faster servers or video streaming wouldn't either. Web browser and 1080p support is something that would come at a later update. Those are basically updates to take away the right for PS3 fans to say that "The 360 does not have web browser and can't support 1080p!" I have a 1080p 40" Samsung and I am just fine with the 720p and 1080i viewing on games. I also don't care of 360 has a web browser, even though it would be cool. Xbox will probably make a 1080p support update eventually, but I wouldn't be entirely confident with a web browser. |
Meh I'm not on either side of Microsoft, but I wouldn't buy into rumors. Alot of people get mad when they get hyped for something that doesn't happen; but the whole point is that it was a RUMOR. Just don't get too excited. :D

I think a certain company fears anothers console and are trying to add some similar features >:D

"Arcade System"... "Demos"... "Entertainment Videos"... So it serves sony right, if micrsoft takes some ideas from sony... (if they have any that they didnt steal).. |
The more the better is what most people think. A web browser with the 360 would be cool. If it slows it down or has problem though, I rather not have it. I personally prefer the 360 over the PS3 based on my current knowledge of both of them. Yes, I have not played a PS3, but I don't nessesarly need to. I like the game selection on Xbox much more then the PS3 and it plays normal DVD's that look amazing on my HDTV so I don't need a Blu-Ray player. Microsoft is doing a good job, and can't really say anything bad about what they are doing. They are in the business to make money, not lose money like everyone else is.

Nah... I read that the update consists of just "fixing" the ability to play Ranked games with people on your friends list. Also, by "fixed", I mean they are disabling that ability, since many players complain thats how people cheat. Example would be... Halo 2 rankings. One of your friends would be on the opposing team, and they will kill their selves, or partners in order to help their friend on the other team win.

Where does everybody get the idea that I am talking about the PS3!? No reason to get all excited. Only one person really responded to your other post and you already said something to them. My post above was not a reply to you, so take a few deep breaths and relax. |
I'm not trying to get excited, for some reason, everyone thought I was talking about the PS3, even after I said it wasn't the PS3...kind of an annoyance :\

Errr... Microsoft is losing money from it's little console-market venture, AFAIK. I can't quote any stats, so don't take that as gospel truth. I know that they certainly lose money with every Xbox 360 they sell, just not sure how much game sales, XBL, etc. push them back into 'making a profit' territory.

From the get-go of the original XBox, I had always heard that their games division was a money loser... But that their other divisions were making more than enough to make up for it... And the only reason they were continuing with the console project is that it is Bill's pet...
Whether or not that's fact, or just fanboy garbage I don't know... It does seem possible (dare I say likely?) |
When is live supposed to go up today? Its 3 minutes from the 19th and I still cant recover my gamertag.
