Tell as little of the game as possible to keep spoilers outta here.

It's a good game, overall, but no Nobuo music. And, guess what, it wasn't made by Hironobu so in my opinion, the game is like..lesser than all the others. The game still rocks, gets a 9.8 outta 10. .2 deducted for the two missing greats.
It was cool, Im actually glad they did something different with this one... (lol)

But Come on, doesn't any one get tired of seeing the word Final Fantasy...

Square Enix is god like at making rpg's but, other stuff.. no There NEWBS! (example: dirge of ceberus)

I really wish square would stop with the rpg's and work on something new once in awhile...

This is my opinion...
I like how they moved away from the random turn-based battles in this one. You still pretty much have an active turn battle, but it's a lot more fast paced and interesting (particularly if you keep the battle speed all the way on FAST like I do). It's more challenging than the previous games, which is a giant plus since the last few games were cheese. Also, I like the License Board since it allows you to customize your characters how you want, instead of them being stuck with one kind of weapon, magic, etc.

I agree that the music isn't really anything great, except where I hear hints of the FFT music. The story isn't anything super either, but really I'm fine with that since they finally put some interesting gameplay in a game. At one point I went off doing hunts and forgot what was going on in the story.
In response to SmokeX5
Smoke, I challenge your opinion with a question. Why move away from something that you're good at and will make money off of in a business world?
The main character looks pretty weak...almost dbzish. What's with the playboy bunny thing? And in a universe with spaceships and guns, why are people still wearing armor and whacking eachother with swords?

I'll be passing this one.
