I'm still working on my 2004 NaNoWriMo project! One month, my butt.

Eh, I've got it down pretty good right now. 2400 words a day is about two hours for me. The hardest part is finding the time... I've got some days off next week (two of them) and I'll be able to get a ton of it done, especially this weekend at night.

but it says there is 14 or so days left? whats that about, also is there any limitations of what you can have in the novel, like if there was a romantic scene then things get graphical do i have to edit it out or what. (graphical = penis + vergina and such meeting and going together)

The day was fine yet to everyones dislike the Sifnit trio was out causing trouble, on the big blue road, they were throwing eggs at people as they went by, then a girl came up and said, "Stop it!" they turned to look at her, then Jif Sifnit threw a egg at her and she ran home crying, Bif Sifnit found her cute, he told his brothers so and they laughed at him and banned him from hanging out with them. also how many letters is that >_< i lose count after a while | |
ive entered but the story im working on is weak, im going to make several stories in one, like (whats the word) a chronicals or something

The website itself is open long before the annual contest begins. And you can do 'Romance' or 'Erotic Fiction' novel stuff. No one is actually going to see your novel other than a scrambled version you submit for the word count and an excerpt you post on the profile. It's your own deal (sicko, :p).
I myself would like to get mine published, as I have written it more as a legit novel than just 50k words. I'm making some good time and I'm sure I'll get it done a few days early. The key to to add filler. I have many sections of just 400+ word ramblings about the philosophy and outlook of the main character (I usually don't write first person but it adds so much mass and, with the prevalent theme of the mind and creation I used, it was necessary). | |
I agree with your philosophey (hope i spelt it right) on the 1st person rambling, but yeah i usually write storys but i uploaded them to a site my friend showed me and now i cant find the site so i have to wait till my friend gets on (my best story has over 2-4 k words) i sort of run out of stuff to say after a while.

Ok well ive got my 50k novel, exact ammount: 59,467 words. (still climbing), Hey im 14 with no life, and i can type 500+ words a minute, then take the time ive been up (around 38 hours or so), lets just say i have alot of time on my hands.

Assuming a word is four characters long, that's 2000 characters a minute, or 33.3 characters a second, or 3.33 characters a millisecond.
Like to rethink that number? | |
I'm not sure, and it seems really slow, but that seems to be what I am calculating. Hmm. But its not solid writing. I spend a bit of time thinking it all up and consulting dictionary.com every now and then.
