If you're paying ~67% in taxes I suggest relocating. or you could simply stop over exaggerating.

I don't think xterm is all that new. Besides, all apple stuff is automatically better, so apple's "Terminal". :P

Actually it can't play blu ray nor DVDs for that matter(they'e releasing a DVD wii system next year), but I'm betting that wii will be better. Sony has alot stacked against them this time around, and its only getting worse. Now the people who pre-ordered a ps3 at gamesotp, aren't guaranteed one; now they're expecting to get less than the 8 they were supposed to get.

I have a feeling that was an error on GameStop's part. I would say that they over preordered them. Of course I can't prove that, and you can't prove that it was, in any way, Sony's fault that [your local] GameStop is getting less than they preordered. Unless, of course, you have the proof that it was Sony's fault, which I would love to see.
I don't know about DVD, but you are right about it not playing Blu-Ray. I think that he was saying that the Wii will play the gamecube's miniDVDs, by the context, but he called them blu-ray instead. I am not sure if it can play the miniDVDs, but it is entirely possible, although I have never seen disc drives(auto loading and ejecting without a tray) take mini discs. |
A Wii does NOT play Blu-Ray discs. I'd like to make the following fact clear though: Different consoles are suitable for different people. Those who want power will seek the PS3 and those Nintendo fanboys and those seeking the new ingenuity of the Wii controller and all of it's wonderful features will get the Wii.
Also, the PS3 will have some really great launch titles. http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2005May/ bga20050527030673.htm That was a list provided as of May last year. Surely, the list has grown (and I'm sure some of those games also fell off the list), but there are some great titles there. http://playstation.about.com/od/ps3/a/PS3LaunchTitles.htm He is a more accurrate up-to-date list. |

True, I can't say it's sony fault; maybe trouble just follows them. They even had problems in japan: someone(forgot who exactly) paid people to stand in line for the ps3, and the yakuza were buying them out in order to sell for triple the price..Despite all the long linrs and such, it didn't even sell out; sold about 88,000+ out of 100,000.

http://www.gbax.com/ rocks. it's cheaper, plays lots of games (existing ones too thanks to emulators you can use), and it runs under Linux! and you can make games for it.

Interesting little system. The price is about the same as a PSP, but seems to have more functionality(Out of the box). I'll keep my DS as my handheld of choice though.

The more i see/learn about the PS3 the more the price feels just right.
Backwards compatible with PS1 and ps2, i can play my FF's,armored core's,xenogear, gundam and so on with better resolutions to boot, then blu-ray drive in it and free? online(depends if devs wanna leave it free or ask for $$) i own a 360 but after a bit of thinking i should have waited for a ps3 <.< wii will have its handfull of fun games just like the GC nothing great...this is Mario's last chance to increase Mario game sells i guess |

Sony is offering the online for free, but in my opinion and in a business this big, you get what you pay for. Developers of games are also going to be the ones making money off the online service. Just like it works on the 360's. Take the game oblivion for example. You can beat the game, but you can also download/purchase new areas for yourself, and soon a new questline (Coming Nov 21, or something) You paid 60 or 70 for the game, but your paying extra for the stuff afterwards. Its gonna work the same way for the PS3 but probably worst. I'm not saying I hate the PS3. Just am gonna sit back and watch what happens with it first. Xbox is a year ahead and has great and soon coming great things with it. My friend is getting a wii, so I'll check it out, but not buying one myself. |

According to Nintendo, it can. Of course, I've also wondered how it will auto-load the mini-discs (I suppose it could have something to slide it into position). Hiead |

what do u think is going to be there better console? I think the PS3 will be better for me. After a few months of working, I think I'll be able to afford to buy it and Madden '07, and eventually I'll be able to add to the collection (Final Fantasy, Tekken, Need For Speed, etc.). The Wii looks fine, mind you, but I don't see so many titles that I would normally aim for becoming plausibilities on it, and there are only a few titles that I can currently say that I'd want (actually, the only game I even think about playing when I think of getting a Wii is Super Smash Bros.). Last time around, I got the GameCube before the PS2, and I ended up playing the PS2 much more (GCN only got any of its real action from me for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, SSBM, and a handful of WWE games). The GameCube's memory card also left a bad impression on me; it seemed to find itself "corrupted" quite often. I'm not sure if that was Nintendo's fault for making a faulty SDK or hardware, or if the software developers were to blame for improperly using the SDK, but it nevertheless left a mis-taste in my mouth, whereas I never had that problem with my PS2 or, I'm afraid to say, my X-box. I'm really not a fan of the X-box---the main reason I have no interest in owning a 360, ever---because the only game I played that I really enjoyed on it was Halo, and I found myself bored of that after beating it quickly. I also had a Bruce Lee game for it, and that game was bad. That's just wrong. :( Hiead |

Anyone who finds enjoyment in Sonic games is probably best got rid of (by that, of course, I mean handed off for Sony to dispose with). =P

Obviously, the BYOND console is the best ;) Byond, the Wii, 360, and PS3 are cool and all, but HyperScan will dominate this holdiay season. |

What the hell? How come I have never heard of the HyperScan before? How long has it been in production? Last but not least, when is it coming out?!

Making a post like this is almost asking the
flameboysfanboys to start troubles. If you do a forum search, you will see a bunch of topics just like this, most of which ended up with fanboys of both systems fighting back and forth.
