The project I've been working on as of late is a project by the name of "Planetbound" -- an Earthbound spin-off featuring its very own original graphics, sound effects -- and well, everything! No ripped icons or sound effects will be seen on this game.
Anyways I've come to ask you guys to honestly rate the banner and icon for the game. Since I am the maker of these, I cannot rely on my opinion alone on whether or not this is a good banner and icon or not. At a distance where my vision allows the colours to blend slightly, the pink/yellow thing is pretty bad, and the blue and pink also cause a whole lot of painful eye strain as well. This is one situation where colour-blind people are better off! ;-) It's rather difficult to read the text on "BOUND" because it's transparent or translucent or something. A thick, solid black inside the yellow silhouette of each letter would work wonders, I think. | |

i make banners and icons and what not in the context they are really good, but dont try to use that style in a fangame or any "abnormal" variaty of game i do the that the hub icon is a little crowded and if u can, get rid of the man standing in it | |
If you got rid of the Starman, it would definitely be between an eight or a nine. Otherwise a six.
I must say, I'm looking forward to an Earthbound spin-off. I know a few who have tried, but just gave up due to difficulties. Hopefully, that won't happen to this game. | |
For the banner, I'd give it around an 8/10.. The 'B' looks like a 'S' to me and the gradiented light part on the right hand side makes no sense to me.. you sould try to atleast light up where bound is.. but that's my opinion :P
Cool looking dude none-the-less.. the icon I usually find the hardest to make and I give it around a 9.. It'sd be cooler if you had the fonts looking slightly 3D (bevel is one method of how to make it so), because to me.. everything in it looks 3Dish except for the font
