I was looking for a program that allows me to record a video of something on my computer. For example, if i was playing Half-Life 2 and i found this umm idk "easter egg" and I wanted to share it with the rest of the world. Is there a program I can download that would allow me to record something off my computer and save it to my computer?

There's fraps, but I'm not sure how free it is. It might have some limits unless you buy a full version.

Fraps Cam Studio I personally use GameCam because it has better compression than Fraps and a lot more features. Also, the demo version will let you record as long as you want instead of a 30-second clip. If you don't care about the compression and want high quality videos, go with Fraps. You'll have to buy it to record longer though. Note: Both demos DO have watermarks that CANNOT be taken off. ...Use Cam Studio as a last resort. | |
