Bleh, perfectly funny shows often do not translate well to movies. Witness Beavis & Butthead, Southpark (at least this one was somewhat entertaining), Family Guy, etc. I expect the Simpsons and ATHF to follow suit.

It's the best damn show in the world!
I hope it does well. I notice that these guys tend to make things go together nicely. The Moononites, for example, on season 4. All of the episodes had an introduction to a feud between the Moononites and those other alien dudes. If you watch them in order, it's kind of like it's own episode. Let's hope they can do something similar with a movie. It should be like an extra-long episode. :D They did spend the whole year on it. I just hope they don't make it like the first few episodes where the houses looked like they were generated 3D models from computers. The episodes following looked much better and I think supported the setting much better. |
The first few episodes sucked, a lot. They got much, much better afterwards, though.
My favorite episode is the one with the broodwich though, hands down. <_< |

The South Park movie was as good as the show at the time. I don't consider the Family Guy movie a movie. It's clearly just episodes with a little padding. Great episodes, but not a movie. Although you're right about The Simpsons movie. The newer writers write a decent string of jokes for killing time. Their style wont translate well into a movie. What I'm really looking forward to are the Futurama movies. Those have some real potential. |

I get the feeling you like Futurama. Yeah, although I need to switch that from Zapp to Slurms MacKenzie. |
When's it come out?
