short answer: yes.

long answer: but not in BYOND's DM language, at least not anywhere as fluently as the rest of you. being self-employed as a website programmer, i daily work with PHP, Javascript, and Perl, with a smattering of Python and C for flavor. you name the BASIC, and i've probably messed with it at some point in the past. C/C++ leaves a bad taste in my mouth for numerous reasons, and my early days of PASCAL and COBOL work causes me to awake in a cold-sweat during the the short hot summer nights. Java is currently a hobby, and i've been known to tinker with SmallTalk and tcl (pronounced 'tickle') years ago.

with that kind of diverse background, i could, in principle, dive right in and play around with DM. i would love to take the several ideas/concepts i have that currently reside on paper or in my head and make actual games out them-- this is what led me to BYOND in the first place: the desire to make my own games.

but seeing how the real world (food, rent, work) keeps interrupting in a not-so-linear fashion, i never seem to make the time to just sit down and do it. so i did the next best thing: digitalBYOND (http://digitalbyond.net.tc) - my little contribution to supporting a language i admire, and a community i've grown to respect (well, most of you - and you know who you are). heck, i've even started a little BYOND hosting project on the side to help keep my *nix skills up and to help some people host games when they otherwise could not do it themselves.

when i have time, i also contribute as a forum moderator- hopefully keeping most of the riff-raff and roughage out of the BYOND forums, and helping to make it a more enjoyable place.

someday i'll get that multi-server-space-sim project started.

someday...
Ah, you, along with the rest of the mods, do a good job picking the weeds out of the forums. DigitalBYOND is also very good. Who cares if you haven't produced a Zeta rip? ;-)
Digi, part of the problem with digitalBYOND, that I see at least. Is that it is a standard forum. Doesn't seem to be much more. Look at byondScape. The entire site is dynamicly generated, and quite unique. Perhaps you should try to reformat digitalBYOND, so it doesn't look so generic. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for what you are doing.
