Is Against the rules

Hello everyone I would like to know if, I can create a server in my game that people need to pay to play its a cahrmed game. So is it against the rules or not?

Yes, it's against the rules. Can't charge for fan-games.

If it weren't a fan game though, you'd have to allow at least a "demo" like test play before they have to pay.

I think it came from the guidelines for the hub's official channels. I doubt it's a requirement for being listed on the hub at all. However, the official BYOND channels required more from games. It'll be interesting to see if the official guilds also have that as a rule, and if not, if anyone goes the pay route.

You can if you get the permission from the company that owns Charmed.

I think that it is actually a good idea. If you are going to have to pay to play a game at all, a demo should be provided. That way, users know what content they are getting and don't pay for something they'll hate.
