I'm trying to set up a torrent with a friend, but each time we make a torrent and try to send it to the other person, both of us are running into an issue that we can't seem to resolve.

Whenever one of us tries to seed our torrent, the file shows as though it hasn't been downloaded and in the corner, "Checking for firewall..." is displayed. I've tried to look this up via Google but the only response I keep finding is that firewall/router ports need to be open for BitTorrent. The problem is that they're ALREADY open and BT doesn't respond any further anyway.

Both of us are capable of downloading torrents off of websites, but we can't seed to each other. Would anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this? It's probably vague but I don't know what to do.
