about a week ago my mac started acting strange and wouldn't load my computer it got to the point where it loaded the desktop but never loaded so i left it for a week and came to it today and somehow it became a virtual PC :/ i have important things on it and i would like to change it back without having to reload my OS

You don't give any pertinent information. What kind of Mac? What version of the operating system? Have you installed any third-party hacks? Have you installed any malware such as Norton Utilities? Did you try booting from the restore CD that came with it and running Disk Utility to repair it? Did you try connecting another Mac via FireWire and booting it in target disk mode to backup your files that way?
