Graphics look awsome! even though thats only pre-alpha...

Can't wait to see what the actual game is like!

Usually when they show "in game" graphics, it is usually just them showing off some sort of pre-rendered BS. To be honest, just looking at it, it doesn't look fun at all. It looks like another First Person Shooter. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Actually playing it might be fun, but if you are going to base it off a video clip, well, thats dumb. I also find it very funny that they used Halo 3 beta as a marketing scheme to sell Crack Down, which is actually a pretty decent game to waste a few hours on. When they were advertsing the Halo 3 beta before, it made a lot of people think they were going to get it on a disk or something, but have to wait to download it months later.

Halo fans are always shouting about how great the game is and how deep and involving the plot is. And to be honest I find Halo to be a shallow generic game. It is nothing outstanding and it is certainly nothing extraordinary. My friend has a Xbox 360 (I sold mine) so I will give it a try, but I won't hold my breath.

Well the reason why its popular because it was one of the first fps shooters on a console with wicked AI and graphics at its time that could only be found on PC....

And as I said the graphics are Pre-Alpha...

Halo 3 is going to sell masses wheather its crappy or not..

Plus bungie said they messed up on halo 2's multiplayer so that gave me spunk into halo 3...

I remember when beta testing was actually testing out games, not a fancy name for a demo. I mean damn, everyone is offering "public betas" these days, and demos are going the way of a dyno. Of course, Halo is far from the first one to do this, they just went on a major marketing thing about it. Betas are supposed to be able to test the game out IN FULL. Testing to make sure it is ready for massive public consumption.

I'm more of a GoW player and fan, but I do enjoy halo to a certain point. It does look fun, and I will buy Halo 3 no matter what, like millions of others will. As far as the Beta though...I will be isolated from my 360 and live beginning may 11-12 until the end of July so I will miss all of beta, but thats alright. Just beta.

Yeah, they said they got yet ANOTHER Halo game in the works thats isn't the RTS(Halo Wars) a few days ago. Somehting more to be happy about I guess..0_0

Halo 3 is suppose to be the last in the main series...

Although they could make another halo game in the halo universe...

Like Half-Life Blue shift for instance...

With a franchise that makes this much money they would be crazy to stop it simply because they reached number three.

Although now it has quite a bit of competition, so maybe Halo 3 wont do so great and they'll let it end where it probably should. The way things are setup Gears of War could possibly knock Halo out. Gears is vastly superior in terms of gameplay (even though I hate it =P). I could really see the people who play Halo every night moving to Gears.

But beta testing sounds so much more exciting. Like it's somehow exclusive.

I can't wait until the idea of beta testing like this gets boring. Imagine what they'll replace it with. Buy Crackdwon 2 and you'll become an official staff member with access to the pre-alpha testing session of Halo 4!
