I've been thinking about my team logo on Hattrick (www.hattrick.org) and I've been thinking... what if my team had some 'sponsorship' with BYOND? Would people here approve of it? What would the mods say and if they come by, Dan and Tom?
If the response is good enough, we'll see if the GMs and admins there will approve as well..

What do you mean by sponsership? You guys paying Dantom? That's the only possible scenario I can think of involving BYOND and sponsership (That Tom is a real miser when it comes to spending! :( ).

Well.. not actual sponsorship, just a chance to slap a BYOND logo on my team logo.

Advertising. :P
Okay. Well... yeah. I have nothing more to contribute to this thread- bye! |

Hmm.. I take it as nobody cares then?

Well as long as your sponsorship isn't degrading about BYOND, nobody would care.

And that was what I was afraid of.
How should I go about that? |

I cannot help but say that is a very good question. How DOES one talk to the staff? I mean there's the help line, but unless its something they care about, is well founded, true, and hasn't been consistantly said by others, they pretty much will ignore half of them.
Now what I just said can be false, BUT THERE'S NO CONNECTION BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY AND THE STAFF! There's no guaranteed way to get in touch with them, so it is a very good question Redline. |

Your probably right, but don't be so harsh. |

Except, you know, The Staff that you don't speak for.

Lets just get back to the point. How should I get the permission to add one very small logo to my team logo?

Things sent there are always read. The staff won't always respond if they don't feel that it's necessary, but they'll definitely see it. |

If he is just slapping the BYOND logo on, it's not bad unless his team is bad. :) He's advertising. Not making money or asking for money for/from BYOND.

However, if people start to think of his team badly for some reason, that could also reflect poorly on BYOND. It could also dilute the value of the BYOND mark, for when Dantom decides to go big with advertising, etc. |

Its naturally bad to start of with, but currently I'm the theoretically best team in my series. Its like a insuring your car while having a no claims bonus. It gets better every year. Once I get into the higher levels, more people will notice me and my logo. But then to keep the logo there, I need 15 quid a year, bit like BYOND except in BYOND its done in American dollars, so its only 9 quid for me. But I can do that. |

You know come to think of it, when it comes to sponsorship, doesn't the company who is being sponsored usually PAY to BE sponsored? In my point of view, if you are not charging BYOND to BE sponsored, then isn't it good for them?
.....I cant help but wonder now "Who is this 'them' and 'they' I am labeling BYOND with?" |

Well, the reason why I chose 'sponsorship' as the term because there is a sponsor in the game. So I think, why don't I make my team more realistic? Maybe BYOND can pay me my weekly 45k? Maybe they could be on my strip?
