If he is just slapping the BYOND logo on, it's not bad unless his team is bad. :) He's advertising. Not making money or asking for money for/from BYOND.

And in other news, George W. Bush is a stinky stinky-head! This message brought to you by Coca-Cola.

^--- Don't you think Coca-Cola would object to me saying that? I guarantee you that if I plastered that with a Coca-Cola logo and went around showing it to everyone, I'd get hit with a lawsuit faster than you could say "butI'mpromotingtheCokebrand!". And rightly so.

He has NO RIGHT to advertise any kind of "affiliation" or sponsorship deal with BYOND unless he has explicit written permission from Tom. Period.

I already know that. 4th time asked: How should I get this permission?

Ah nuts, its over.

This is probably not a good idea. It could give people a false impression of
affiliation that doesn't exist, even make your group look like an official
department of BYOND. And if one group did this, others would. That would lead to
a lot of problems for us from people using the logo illigitimately, and this
support system would be overloaded with similar requests.

Though now I think about it.. I could actually get away with putting it on my strip. You get a player shirt mask of about 18 pixels in total. So thats a 3x3 square with blue in the corners, yellow on the sides and a pixel of white in the middle.

Nobody will know except for me and anyone here. Though its best not to push it.

Indeed.

I suggest you abandon the idea entirely, even if the logo is squeezed into a 3x3 block and thus mostly unrecognisable. After all, what's the point if people don't know about it? And if they do know about it, well, that's not allowed. =)
