I've been thinking a -whole- lot about this anime movie I saw several years ago on some sort of movie network (like HBO, STARS, etc). I can't remember exactly when I saw it, but if I were forced to give an estimate I'd probably say four or five years ago. Maybe even six!

Anywho, like I said, I do not remember much about the movie. I can only recall the setting (feudal Japan-ish) and a storyline between a couple of powerful blades that exist in the land. The main character is a female and wields a short, katana-like sword. Some other characters in my recollection are a male character who wields a longer katana sword as well as a man who wields a halberd (or some sort of pole-arm). The main character (the woman) seems to have a battle at some point with one of the other characters (the man with the longer katana). After much fighting they become side-tracked (?) and she says this line "Let's postpone this match." The two then team up and fight something along the lines of demons.

The movie seems to focus a whole lot on demons and the characters fighting them themselves. Lots of blood -- lots of carnage. This movie was fully translated and dubbed in English.
