Self-consciousness

What do you guys think about this? I think every person should have some level of self-consciousness so they just dont become a total slob, but at the same time to much is a very bad thing.

Ironically this is linked into the "Programming levels" thread- you can't become a masterful programmer if you don't also become a total fat, unshaven, food-encrusted slob.

I have a level of Self-consciousness...
I'm pretty sure its a big one too because I know about all my weaknesses and accept them.

As long as I don't stink or have crap stains on my pants I honestly don't care. I am only self-conscious to the point of offending others.

When I have like a weekend off and I know I won't be going out, or seeing anyone or anything, I just sit in the same clothes until Monday morning, without taking a shower or even brushing my teeth.

probably better if you focus on just being conscious first, before tackling higher-level concepts like that.

I know when I should shower, clean my room and so forth. But I don't go out of the way to change myself so other people will be more accepting of me.

well its fine when your home but i have seen people with food all over their clothes that smell like old pizza and soda. So its worth the time to clean up and make it so you dont seem like some lazy scumbag.
