Can I change my key name?

Is it possible to change my key name, or for someone else to change it for me? Cause I just got an account from a friend, and i kinda cant remember the key very well...

You cannot change your key name. It would cause a lot of problems, and people would vary their names slightly to evade administrative forces in and out of game. You can, however, make a new key. Keys cannot be deleted either so once you make a key it is there forever and the name is engraved. Just note that game save files are usually key based (if not, both key and IP based) so if you swap keys around expect to not see the save file on both keys.

but this def wont work for server based saves

If he asks nicely, I can see his membership being transferred to another account. It has happened before.

Those were a few special cases, there's very little that can be done to make us transfer a membership.

I think I had a membership transfered once, and lummox jr said never again.

uh, what drugs are you on? my key was never changed from upper to lower. it has always been that way from the start. my key and splattergnome's key were two of the last to start with a lowercase before the key system was changed to force an uppercase leading character.

I sword you mentioned you had to ask for it.

Never the less, there was a conversation about it and it was stated that the key system wouldn't break if it were to happen.
