It would be Cool, if there was super game made by the byonds best..

I know 'Last Robot Standing' is 'The' Byond game atm.. but i think its kind off dead now <_<

So I think it would help Byond grow to astronomical hights if there is a Single game that will attract not just anime fans if the game uses the full potential of byond system.

i agree completely, that's a great idea.
I doubt you'll see a game built by all of BYOND's staff, since many of us are pulled in different directions and most are busy. I've been too busy myself with work to do much game development, but Scream of the Stickster Volume II: The Crayon Massacre is in the pipeline. There's a chance a 4.0-enhanced version will see release by the end of the year, but so much is up in the air right now there's no telling what to expect.

Heh, def not the first one to suggest that. As Lummox mentioned, they are all running in different directions. They also code games differently so I'm sure if that many people were involved, it would be like a meeting between a spanish speaking person and a english speaking person and they don't understand each other. Last Robot Standing worked because each person worked on certain parts of the game. Graphics, Code, and sound. They do an awesome job for sure. Maybe they could all make Monstoro to speed up the process of that to-be hit game ;)

i know Gughunter has talked about doing something with SpaceTug. Spuzzum/JtGibson is working on his game off-n-on. even I am getting into serious development with a few ideas, now that i get to play with 4.0 in an emulated XP.

of the dozen or so 'active' BYOND staff, i'd hazard a guess that about half are working on something- especially since the release of the BYOND 4.0 series. just a matter of time and personal/work priorities.

so i suspect sometime between winter and next spring you'll see some new stuff from the staff.

Well its not really hard, if each person did a different code file and if you have 1 main var file and other basic proc file then others can work serpertly when ever they get time ..

but i do understand you guys got other work, but maybe u guys can just assable a super team <_< maybe set a prize if they succeed :)

As I would but i hardly ever talk on fourm and stuff :P

P.S I know i am not good for the job ;) so no need to tell me that

Right now, I've been working almost exclusively on BYOND projects.

Emphasis on plural, sadly. I've been giving roughly equivalent development time to Interstellar Inc., Newtopia, and Cleft all at the same time. Interstellar Inc. is my Elite-like. Newtopia is my Hedgerow Hall-like. Cleft is my Rogue-like.

I don't think I've accidentally implemented any Radiation Weapons in Newtopia, accidentally implemented zombies in Interstellar Inc., or accidentally implemented anthropomorphic characters in Cleft, so I seem to be doing okay.
Let's picture the U.S. Senate committee for a minute. You have your Republicans and your Democrats and your on-the-fence people who have to identify as either Democratic or Republican but who are really half of each.

Put all of those people into a single room and tell them to write a tax proposal.

Hilarity ensues.

The problem with all of the BYOND Staffers and Moderators getting together to write a game is that we're all so fundamentally different that it'd be impossible for us to collaborate well enough to produce anything worthwhile. Plus, a lot of us work better independently as opposed to in teams. Even LRS is primarily Deadron's programming -- Gughunter provided the graphics, mostly.

Yeah, I heard from Nadrew Guy was up to something involving Space Tug. I am def interested in hearing exactly what is going on with all that... Was one of my favorites on BYOND.
Tom wouldn't be much use because he's not very good with DM. :)

Nothing. It sits happily on my hard drive.
