At my dads house he has an Acer equipped with Windows Vista Home Premium and BYOND works perfectly.
I came back home tonight ready to play BYOND on my Laptop (Compaq) that has Windows Vista Basic and everytime I try to log into the Pager it says something like Failed and won't do anything. I'm just wondering is there a problem with the Computer or Vista O.o [Help]
There's probably just a configuration conflict. If you copy over the exact error message we might be able to help you figure it out.

There's no error message at all otherwise I would have gotten it to work LoL
It just won't let it pass the Login part "BYOND Hub: connection failed." I let the .exe and the port go through the firewall and my router but still getting it so I can't find a solution.

Vista has a lot of security software built in that can cause all kinds of problems. I don't know if anyone here knows enough about vista to say for sure, but I'd recommend reinstalling BYOND, then making sure you tell Vista to allow it to do whatever it needs on first run.

I have done that, ran it as admin, installed as admin, everything known by me that I could do but vista still won't let it through, Vista Home Premium lets it through since my friend and desktop has it and lets Byond through without a complaint but basic just hates me so ima see if I can get the money to upgrade to home premium and if that doesn't work later-on then I guess I just waisted lots of money and i'll only be able to play at my friends and weekends :(

Prnt Scrn is your best friend
if it does show errors
use that then copy the resulting image to paint and upload it for us to see
