I bet this topic has been brought up countless times but I still feel that having a yearly award ceremony to nomimate special games would really motivate developers to work hard and create quality games. It will also bring the community to life once a year. Some awards could include: Best game, best graphics, most original game, most popular game. Maybe even break it down between sections such as the best anime game, best rpg. I just think it would be really cool and would promote positive motivation towards creating a Byond with better games.
Post your thoughts on this, and together maybe we can make this a reality!

Eh guilds wouldnt seem to offical, it should have its own forum section like the october contest did that one year.

0.o Hahahaha that would NEVER work unless it gave out MONEY, and I don't think that will happen. What's the point of an award anyways? Also, "Most popular game" is a bad idea, because obviously as I see of now, it's a Naruto game...

I would definitely be encouraged if per say one of my games won an special emblem or something signifying its place and/or being featured on the front page or something. Not only that, but they could be shining examples for newcomers and other developers to aspire to rather than seemingly popular fangames. I've seen this proposed pretty much every year on byond, but I wonder why it has still yet to take off..There might have been some unofficial ones if I remember, but no official/big ones yet. | |
