Or as we like to call it in the hood "Dubble Dungins, brah". This game is pathetic in every sense. There is no depth and the translation is horrible. Playing this game is pure goddamn torture... Well that is if you're playing it alone anyways. See, my uncle has a Wii so he gets to download all of the games that Nintendo bought the rights to solicite from other companies plus their own games. Good times right?

Anyways, back to the Dungeonness. This game is perfect for multiplayer excitement if you have alot of time on your hands. Its not 'uber' or tha best nor is it even close but trust me when I say Nintendo sure knows how to pick em. This game has 22 dungeons and trust me when I say its not going to be an easy 22 either. Basically to play the last one you have to collect a number or word from beating every single one of the other dungeons(Which you can play in any order you like just make sure your password is in order). These vary in size and diffuculty(Duh) depending on which level you choose.

The whole basis of the gameplay is to level up enough to fight your way to the boss of the dungeon. Along the way there are a few quaint ways to make you a god in the levels eyes. Usually this involves alot of grinding to get cash. However, to add an extra peice of fun to the whole game, you have to collect a unicorn key. This damn key can be anywhere from right at the start of the dungeon to all away across the blasted dungeon. This game will make you frustrated and hate yourself at times. The dungeon is a cruel bastard that just loves to test you. Anyone that has bad navigation skills should definitely find themselves playing with an expert cartographer or be forever lost in the harder levels. Hell, I'll even admit. On the last two dungeons me and my uncle had to go to gamefaqs and print off a guide to find our way through those damn places.

On a lighter note however, the game is fun and fun to make fun of with a friend. If you ever have a friend over and nothing to do, play this game if you have it. Its a fun and simple romp through a random dungeon and personally I reccomend it to anyone who has a Wii.

Good luck out there Dungeoneers!

They should have a short preview video on the virtual console part of the wii website. There's one for almost every virtual console game that comes out.
I enjoyed Double Dungeons even on my own, I used to play a lot on a emu for my PC. Get a good TGFX emu with online play and you could play with other people.

Of course, you are talking to a role player who enjoys repetitive grinding and leveling up.

Well I mean, they could have atleast TRIED to add a bit of depth... like character classes and fun stuff like that... and different backgrounds.
