So anyways, christmas has passed and I finally got the game I've passed up for oh so long. Warhawk. A playstation network game thats so big they actually released it on disc too for people who couldn't download the whole game. Nice of those good people at sony =). Really, when I first popped the game into my PS3 I expected it to be a fun little distraction for awhile. I played it for five hours straight. Yeah, the graphics arent top notch like you'd expect from sony the supposed graphics whores. No, but the people who made this game made GREAT use of the PS3s processing power. The levels are massive and look awesome from every angle. Theres a sort of sense of free roaming you don't usually get with other multiplayer games. You pick whatever you want to do and you do it. Personally, I've made it my job to be a 'Bird Killer'.
Step One: Find an RPG
Step Two: Find a heavily traversed area of the map
Step Three: Find a safe location away from traversed area
Step Four: Sit back and wait for planes to close in.
Step Five: Let your heat seeking RPG do the rest.
Yeah, alot of people get pissed at me for that, and for awhile I had a stalker who would follow me to every game to try and prove he could get past my missles. Well I showed him whats what. Now see, I could use the stationary missle turrets but they can lock on to you if you do that. Thats never good. Plus, if you have an RPG you're mobile and that makes it diffucult for them to hit you.
Anyways, down to the point. I actually love this game. Really, I'm suprised. I cant believe I missed this when it first came out. So I have to ask, if you own a PS3 do you play warhawk? If you don't go get the game and give me your PS3Name =o

Also, please don't turn this into another flamewar over what consoles the best. I'm really not in the mood. *COUGH*REVANENT >_>*COUGH*

I was about to point out that he'd need to be cooler to be a Sony pawn* when I realized that he's gone from PS3 fanboy to reluctant PS3 convert.
It used to be 'yeah, this is great, Sony can do no wrong'. Now it's all 'I wasn't expecting it to be good but it really showed me'. Let the witch hunt begin! *Don't take that the wrong way WarLin. I just mean that you're not like an extreme deathboard racer who can only get his gaming rush from the Playstation brand gaming devices played through Sony audio and visual equipment. | |
I don't own a PS3 but one of my friends does and we play split-screen. It's a nice game, although chaff could do with having it's own button rather than being an individual weapon. I've been trying to get good at low altitude flying since it means if you get a gazillion missiles locked on you can just duck under a mountain or cliff and they lose the lock.

Always go for the yellow missles~ shoot them with your minigun a few times and hit them with that and its a guarenteed kill.

Yeah, don't tell revanent but I had fun playing the Wii at my uncles house this <s>wiik</s> week. Super Mario Galaxy was pretty cool.
