You know, it is pretty impressive that you guys have ads for TV shows like MONK. Do you get to choose what you advertise, or does Google or something just randomly throw stuff at you?
How much do you get paid for one orginal view or click? Back when Majins and Mystics Remastered was running, we had some ads running through the internet browser portion of the window, for each new connection we got, we made about half a cent.

Also important is getting ads that aren't BYOND's direct competitors. Right now I see an ad for Clickteam, which is about as big of a competitor as you can get. It'd be better for BYOND to get relevant but not competing products, like online games, board games, computer-related shirts and merchandise, etc. This is very easily done with AdSense, there's an entire page of the control panel devoted to letting you enter names of sites you don't want to have ads appearing from. |

The answer is: not as much control as Tom would like. As said in the mega-thread in Features, he's currently talking with a "liaison" to try to get more relevant ads put up.
