My Windows Live Messneger keeps freezing every few minutes for around 20-30 seconds at a time--both the chat windows and the main window. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I tried reinstalling and it didn't help :(

I have the same issues. It's why I almost always use eBuddy or Trillian now - Live Messenger itself has problems lol.

Really, only da nubs use the official ICQ, MSN etc clients. They all suck. For some reason those companies can't make a decent program. | |

Another One If your big into a lot of communication even without msn and about craptastic official clients More then likely because they only use them to make advertisement money and get people to use other services So they each attempt to get the most users when they could make greater strides for not being a pain in the backside compatibility wise which is where Jabber wins because of its openness | |
If you Really want to Use msn but dont need to use live messenger
You can go for a alternative such as pidgin or amsn
or if you dont want to download anything then emessenger or meebo might suit your needs (these obviously need a browser to run So if you dont want to leave IE/FF/Opera/Safari/Whatever you use up then I recommend downloading something)
