It has long been theorised that, as well as having the personality of a dopefish, I also have the personality of a sheep. Or perhaps a schoolfish; which is more likely, as dopefish and schoolfish tend to coexist more often than dopefish and sheep do. At least until the dopefish eats the schoolfish, which may explain why my multiple personalities always war with each other.

Shut up, Crispy, don't tell them I'm here!

Oops... uh, I mean, did any of you guys here someone speaking? I know I didn't. Which is good, because it proves I'm not crazy.

In any case, Deadron recently announced that all of his BYONDscape exclusive libraries are now free. Freee! Yes, indeed, free as in beer. (Not that beer is ever free, which makes that phrase a rather odd one.)

And, like the sheep schoolfish I am one of my personalities is, I am following suit. The following BYONDscape-exclusive libraries are now available for everyone to download, provided you all behave yourselves and don't track mud all over the server. In reverse alphabetical order, because I can:

SpectateLib - Plug it in, add a few bits of interface here and there, and you've got yourself some spectators.

HelpSys - When you need help, and you need it now... don't ask me. What do you think I am, a superhero? I'm a dopefish, I eat heroes. But if you're looking for a quick and easy way to slap an organised and prettified help system into your game, check out HelpSys.

HeadsUp - Add some HUD objects with a minimum of code, and optionally let your players move them around the screen as well. What could be better? The fact that it's now free, that's what! Yahtzee uses this library to great effect, and the rest of you no longer have any excuse. =)

My other two libraries, Mapper and FullBan, were always free to download. But nevertheless, if you're not using FullBan, now is the time to start!

And check out Deadron's XML library. It rocks.
Figures, when I get my BYONDscape subscription. All the good libraries become free!
