I know I could have asked these on a Magic forum, but I'm too lazy to register. I figured someone here would know the answers. Here you go: I have a creature in play. It has a card attached that gives it +2/+2. The opponent plays Boomerang (Return target permanant to owner's hand). Does the +2/+2 card go to my hand too, or is it discarded? Next; If I play Clone and have it copy a creature, does it also gain that creature's abilities, attached cards, etc, or is it strictly strength / toughness? Last; Some cards have "tap abilities" such as Prodigal Pyromancer (Deals 1 damage to target creature or player). When can I use this ability? On my main phase, if hes untapped, may I tap him and use the ability? If I tap him to attack, do I get to use the ability then or is it strictly for non-attack tapping? Can I tap him during my opponent's turn? When is there a restriction?
Thank you,
Siient

Clone copies the card, but no attached cards. What about abilities? For example, Rage Weaver, would I get it's ability that gives target creature Haste? |

Clone makes the Clone an exact copy of the card you target.
This doesn't include any attached cards/counters/effects; but does include any abilities that said card has. Additionally, Clone comes into play as if it were the target card coming into play; IE; if the creature you target has an ability or option that triggers as it comes into play, Clone does as well. |
"As Clone comes into play, you may choose a creature in play. If you do, Clone comes into play as a copy of that creature."

Clone is such a fun card, be careful with the legends rule though. If two legends of the same type are in play they both become discarded. So if someone plays a legend you can kill it with clone, however if you try and clone your own legend your legend and your clone will die. I just added clone to one of my best decks.

Discarded.
Clone copies the card, but no attached cards.
Tap abiliies are classified Instant's, as far as stacking rules go. Instant's can be played at any time, as the name suggeests. However, attacking also requires tapping - You can't 'double tap' a card.
The exact stacking rules are more complicated than that. The first Instant to be declared is considered the first in the order, and the actions stack up after that. Read the exact M:TG ruleset for specific information.
