Hey hey now.

Android Data is a troll and does not speak for BYOND in the least.

If you'd still like to get an official note in, check out this page: http://www.byond.com/members/?command=contact

Good luck. :-)

Somewhat.

If you cant tell us publicly, why should BYOND give two damns about it?
In response to Opop1
I am just humuring this person:

Byond will probably not care unless you have some possible financial backing or a very established user-base (that has hard numbers backing it up). From what I can gather about your online self from your post you have neither.

It is our concern when you wish to not reveal who or what you have to possibly add to Byond in any fashion.

I'm assuming you mean "Socoms Finest Ladders", right? The website that has the following stats:
Total Members: 953
Most Online Ever: 132

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you think you should be paying BYOND to advertise you and not the other way around?

It may possibly be something dealing with business; the proprietor of a different business does not have to inform the users of another what is going on behind closed doors. For an example, if I were to work at a grocery store and may consider merging with another store I do not need to tell their employees what I may be thinking. It is none of their business.

You are hardly a representative of BYOND. Just a month or so ago you made a post about you were were leaving forever (haha) and hated the community with a passion, or something stupid like that.
In response to Popisfizzy
I'm aware I'm not a representative of BYOND.

Excuse me that it's late at night, and I'm an insomniac.
Well, this thread has rapidly spun out of control all of a sudden. I think I'll put the controversy to rest.

To be honest with you, I think you can rule out the possibility of a donation or payment for advertising. While BYOND is looking to expand, we're looking to expand into largely untapped audiences (especially board/casual gamers), particularly into communities that are fairly big. A community that's much smaller than BYOND and geared toward a type of game BYOND isn't that well suited to cover just isn't a good fit for paid advertising. You'd probably earn more in referral bonuses for posting a BYOND link there than what would be considered a reasonable ad rate.

o_o. So if I had a site and referred BYOND out the butt (cant curse >.<), I can make money?
In response to King of Slimes
It's all explained on the referral page, but yes. It's based on who actually becomes members, but the general idea is that getting BYOND's name out there (without spamming as such) is a good thing.
